Open Letter to the Residents of Ables Springs Volunteer Fire Department Protection Area

 

The ESD proposition passed by a narrow margin on May 10, 2008 ensuring ongoing funding for Ables Springs, College Mound, Elmo, and Terrell Volunteer Fire Departments.

 

The Ables Springs Volunteer Fire Department is very grateful to all of your residents who took the time to go to the Elmo polling place and cast a vote for the proposition.  We appreciate the residents we serve, and you have our pledge to continue to deliver the highest quality of emergency services possible.  Our Department continually strives to achieve the highest level of professionalism through ongoing training and a love for the community.

 

To those residents who had a difference of opinion regarding the ESD proposition, we ask that you join with us in improving the quality of life for the Ables Springs area through improved fire protection, emergency medical service and continuing safety programs.

 

We ask all of the customers we serve to plan to join us at the Annual Fish Fry /Raffle in September and the Auction Chili supper in December.  The dates for these events will be available on this website in the EVENTS section as soon as they are available.

Exciting News!

 

We have started construction on the new fire station.  Click on the “New Fire Station” link to the left to get the latest information on the progress of the construction!

We will be sending out a letter in the near future to area business to request donations for the Christmas Auction.  If you know of  or have a business that would like to contribute to this event, please contact Anita Mann at 972-965-3509.  We are happy to make arrangements to pick up any donations.  Feel free to contact Anita with any other questions you may have about the auction.
