Have you ever wanted to be a part of something exciting that really made a difference in someone’s life? If so, Ables Springs Volunteer Fire Department is looking for quality people who want to excel while helping others in their community.
ASVFD serves approximately 50 square miles of northeast Kaufman County with a population of 5,000 residents. We are a 100% volunteer department and our volunteers are the key to our success and service to the residents who count on a rapid, professional response in their time of crisis. Our volunteers contribute countless hours to training and the maintenance of our equipment and apparatus while responding to over 300 emergency calls a year, both for fire protection and medical. To insure an adequate and professional response to emergency situations ASVFD has also entered into mutual aid agreements with surrounding fire departments. We are always looking to welcome new, enthusiastic, good quality members into our family. It is a fun and rewarding, yet challenging, opportunity to give back to your community and help your friends, family, neighbors, and the many visitors of our area in their time of need. But, joining our department also requires time, dedication, discipline, and the willingness to make sacrifices. Benefits: Equipment and Gear: All equipment and safety gear needed to perform your responsibilities as a firefighter or EMS provider is provided by our station. Free Training: All necessary training is provided free of charge whether it be training at the station or Fire & Emergency Training at Texas A & M in College Station in addition to other certified training locations. If this sounds like the opportunity you have been looking for, come see us any 1st, 3rd, or 5th Tuesday at 7:00pm at the Station to get to know us. We look forward to seeing you. |
