Have you ever wanted to be a part of something exciting that really made a difference in someone’s life? If so, Ables Springs Volunteer Fire Department is looking for quality people who want to excel while helping others in their community.
ASVFD serves approximately 50 square miles of northeast Kaufman County with a population of 5,000 residents. We are a 100% volunteer department and our volunteers are the key to our success and service to the residents who count on a rapid, professional response in their time of crisis. Our volunteers contribute countless hours to training and the maintenance of our equipment and apparatus while responding to over 300 emergency calls a year, both for fire protection and medical. To insure an adequate and professional response to emergency situations ASVFD has also entered into mutual aid agreements with surrounding fire departments.
We are always looking to welcome new, enthusiastic, good quality members into our family. It is a fun and rewarding, yet challenging, opportunity to give back to your community and help your friends, family, neighbors, and the many visitors of our area in their time of need. But, joining our department also requires time, dedication, discipline, and the willingness to make sacrifices.
